Fruit for this wine is sourced from two blocks of mature Shiraz vines grown on the rich red soils at the northern end of Coonawarra, approximately six kilometres north of the Coonawarra Store.
The dry nature of this area produces low-yielding vines where the fruit is highly concentrated in flavour, resulting in vibrant and elegant styles of wines.

Really slick, with a core of dark fruit bound by liquorice, eucalypt, choc-mint and inky notes; slips into overdrive to cruise alone a glossy palate with the oak seamlessly integrated. Good tannin structure and a persistent finish.

It’s polished and soft and offers plenty of juicy fruit flavour. Mint, black cherry, licorice and peppercorn flavours flow amiably through the palate and unencumbered out through the finish. Excellent momentum from start to finish. Clean as a whistle and well powered. You can drink it now, or later, it’s equally well suited.

Deep, saturated purple colour. The bouquet is minty, ginger-like and lifted, fragrant and eucalyptus-tinged. The palate is medium to full-bodied, rather firm and taut and backward, and needs time to build complexity, and soften its tannins - although it's approachable now. Very good.

Incredibly fine and smooth. It’s as if everything has been turned to high gloss. Peppermint, chocolate and ripe plum flavours flood the palate before extending comfortably out through the finish. Ripe, bright and substantial, it also has just enough underlying complexity to keep it from ever seeming simple.

Significant choc-mint aromas and flavours with a wealth of roasted plum and blackberry swooshing in to support. It makes a simple pitch – lots of dark fruit flavour with a good smear of oak – but has enough variety to its flavour to make it seem complex enough. It feels smooth, it tastes rich and it finishes the job on the finish.
