2017 Pinot Noir Rose
Our 2017 Pinot Noir Rose is made from fruit sourced from the Western end of V&A lane in Coonawarra. The cool 2017 vintage allowed for a longer ripening period, producing a more complex and subtle flavour profile.
Picking occurred on the 2oth of March 2017, thankfully just prior to the late harvest rains. The grapes spent 6 hours on skins before fermenting at low temperatures for 30 days in stainless steel. The free run juice was fermented separately to light pressings before being blended prior to bottling.
The result is a fresh and bright Rose which shows considerable fruit notes yet delivers a steely dry finish.

From the western end of Vand A Lane on terra rossa soil, pressed after 6 hours on skins, whole solids cool-fermented in stainless steel, the free-run juice fermented separately. Bright, light pink; a substantial rose, with greater texture and structure than most, making it a contender with any cuisine you care to throw at it.
93 POINTS - KIM BREBACH
Deceptive wine this, perhaps because it’s so young... Perfect pitch, really, nothing overdone, good line and length as well and a tight finish holding the bundle of joy together.
