Parker Estate 2019 SBW #5 'Evita'

Evita is the combination of two beautiful parcels of fruit from two iconic regions: 68% Coonawarra (Kidman Block) and 32% Barossa Valley Malbec (Lienert vineyard).

Elegant cool climate Shiraz characters of layered dark and red fruits with subtle savoury tones blend seamlessly with the lifted and spicy florals of the Barossa Malbec. The palate is brimming with elegant dark fruit woven in with spice and pretty florals. Malbec is perfectly present and complementary adding lovely spice and floral notes as well as dark cherry characters. Dark chocolate and roasted meat add further complexity from the stunning old vine shiraz culminating in a complex and beautiful wine that is sure to age indefinitely.

Each vintage our winemakers have the privilege of working with an incredible array of fruit from several premier regions across South Australia. While the majority of these parcels make their way into our core range of wines, there are a few special barrels that are kept separate, allowing them to experiment with various varietal, vineyard and regional combinations. These unique blends have come to be bottled under the banner of 'Small Batch Wines'.
